1. Calm by Design — With a Few Active Minutes

Most of a Kitiki day is quiet: soft ambient scenes and music tuned for feline relaxation. But shortly before meal times, the App plays a brief active segment — birds, fish, mice — designed to engage your cat's natural hunting instincts. Those few minutes are the whole point of this page.

A one-time setup makes those minutes safe for your cat, your TV, and your home. Please read these guidelines before your first session.

2. Secure Your Television

An excited cat may lunge at or paw the screen, and a falling TV is a real hazard — for the TV and for the cat.

• Wall mounting is the best option: a wall-mounted television securely anchored to studs can't tip.
• Furniture anchors: If your TV sits on a stand or media console, use safety straps or anti-tip anchors to secure it to the wall or the furniture.

Anti-tip straps cost a few dollars and take ten minutes to install. If you do only one thing on this page, do this.

3. Protect the Screen

Cats have sharp claws, and modern TV screens are delicate.

• Scratch risk: Many cats retract their claws when "patting" a screen, but an excited lunge can scratch or puncture it.
• Screen protector: If your cat is an enthusiastic hunter, a clear acrylic TV screen protector is cheap insurance.
• Placement: Alternatively, mount the TV slightly above your cat's standing reach — it encourages watching rather than catching.

4. Tidy the Cables

Secure, hide, or cover power and HDMI cables. A dangling cord is a toy waiting to happen — batting at it can pull connected devices down or risk electrical injury.

5. Before Leaving Your Cat Home Alone

Kitiki is designed to keep your cat company while you're away — but every cat is different.

• Test first. Watch a few full sessions together at home before leaving your cat alone with the App. Pay special attention to how they react to the pre-meal active segment.
• Know your cat. If your cat becomes overstimulated, aggressive, or tries to climb the TV, discontinue use or restrict access when unsupervised. Most cats settle into the rhythm within a few days; some are simply too enthusiastic for unsupervised screen time.

6. Your Responsibility

By using the Kitiki App, you acknowledge and agree that:

• You are solely responsible for securing your television and devices.
• Kitiki (and its creator, Anna) shall not be liable for any property damage (including broken televisions, screens, or household items) or personal injury (to pets or humans) resulting from use of the App.
• You assume all risks associated with allowing your pet to interact with electronic equipment.
